Abstract

The intellectual, literary or artistic works and the performances of artists, as well as all types of texts and data, if in digital format, can be made available to the public on the Internet. This paper seeks to assess the extent to which access, including for private use, to such protected immaterial contents may harm the exclusive rights of copyright owners, related artists’ rights and the sui generis rights of database producers over them.
