Colisão programática : um modo de ( re ) articular Sines com a àgua

Abstract

Sines é o lugar desta colisão programática. Um território comum habitado de sa-beres, tempos e consequentes transformações que constituem fragmentos de uma identidade perdida ao longo dos anos. A cidade evoluiu na ausência de um pensamento urbano estruturado para todo o seu conjunto, assim a sua malha urbana é composta por várias épocas e diferentes modos de construir. Este desenvolvimento desordenado foi distanciando a cidade do seu maior recurso natural — a água. Como consolidar um território constituído por diversos fragmentos em constante colisão e como devolver a ligação da cidade interior com a água potencializando todas as suas qualidades, foram as primeiras questões levantadas. Nesta reflexão a água é entendida como uma extensão do território, transformando-se num elemento polarizador que adquire um papel fundamental no processo identitário do mesmo. Foi através da descoberta de um percurso, parcialmente desactivado, com cerca de um quilómetro e meio, que se deu início a todo o processo. É a partir deste eixo agregador, que liga a cidade de norte a sul seccionando todas as áreas em colisão que caracterizam o território e da implantação de diversas estruturas de articulação ao longo do percurso, que se pretende gerar um sistema de articulação com a água. In this reflection, water is understood as an extension of the territory, becoming a polarizing element that acquires a fundamental role in the identity process of it self. It was through the discovery of a route, partially deactivated, with a length of about 1.5 kilometers, that began the whole process. It is from this axis aggregator, which connects the city from north to south, sectioning all the areas in collision that characterize the territory and the implantation of several structures of articulation along the route, that is intended to generate a system of articulation with water.
