Abstract
O objetivo deste artigo é perceber
e analisar a geopolítica atual da
Federação Russa, argumentando que
não é a urssmas, num certo sentido,
gostava de ser por considerações de
espaço e de poder. Incidindo sobre o
discurso e a prática de Vladimir Putin,
começamos por analisar a geografia,
a demografia e as fronteiras da Rússia
pós‑soviética para, a seguir, aprofun‑
darmos a visão de Vladimir Putin sobre
a Rússia, o espaço pós‑soviético e a
ordem mundial. Avaliamos depois os
principais fatores de poder da Rússia
e o seu uso sob a liderança de Putin:
por um lado, o relativo poder econó‑
mico, a geoeconomia e a geopolítica
da energia; por outro, o poder militar
e a geoestratégia da Rússia de Putin.
The purpose of this article is to understand and analyse the cur‑ rent geopolitics of the Russian Fede‑ ration, arguing that although it is not the ussr, in a sense it would like to be in terms of space and power. Focusing on the discourse and practice of Vla‑ dimir Putin, we begin by analysing the geography, demography, and borders of post‑Soviet Russia and then deepen Putin’s view of Russia, post‑Soviet space, and the world order. Subse‑ quently, we assess the main factors of power in Russia and its use under Putin’s leadership: on the one hand, relative economic power, geoecono‑ mics and the geopolitics of energy; on the other hand, military power and Putin’s Russia geostrategy.
