Terapia centrada no cliente no aconselhamento pastoral

Abstract

O Aconselhamento Pastoral constitui uma das diversas áreas de Aconselhamento Psicológico que fundamenta-se na crença na dignidade e no valor do indivíduo pelo reconhecimento de sua liberdade em determinar seus próprios valores e objetivos, afirmando que o indivíduo tem um valor em si, independentemente do que possa realizar. No entanto, às vezes, a pessoa não é consciente ou ignora este potencial de desenvolvimento, desta forma, o aconselhamento visa ajudá-la a desenvolver sua singularidade e a acentuar sua individualidade. Este artigo parte do pressuposto que é possível viabilizar o Aconselhamento Pastoral tendo por base a Abordagem Centrada na Pessoa, de Carl Rogers, levando-se em consideração que a pessoa tem capacidade para melhorar sua potencialidade e em sua estrutura psíquica através de experiências satisfatórias vivenciadas no âmbito da Igreja.

Pastoral Counseling is one of several areas of psychological counselling that is based on the belief in the dignity and worth of the individual by recognizing their freedom to determine their own values and goals, stating that the individual has a value in itself, regardless of what he or she can accomplish. However, sometimes the person is not aware or ignores this potential development and in this way, the advice is intended to help them develop their uniqueness and accentuate their individuality. This article assumes that it is possible to enable Pastoral Counseling based on the Person-Centered Approach of Carl Rogers, taking into consideration that a person has the ability to improve his or her capability and psychic structure through experiences lived in satisfaction within the Church.
