O arquiteto Nuno Teotónio Pereira foi um dos protagonistas da reflexão sobre o lugar da arquitetura e da sua experiência coletiva em Portugal. Foi o arquiteto que se interessou sobre o espaço interior da casa, sobre a sua formalização e perceção desta como cidade e ainda sobre uma noção vasta do termo território – no fundo a sequência conceptual da visão moderna do mundo. Com projetos, obras, escritos e ativismo político colocou a reflexão sobre a disciplina num patamar de ambição improvável no contexto português. Este texto propõe uma digressão sobre os seus escritos e baseia-se num dos temas ao qual dedicou parte da sua vida, a habitação coletiva.
Architect Nuno Teotónio Pereira was one of the protagonists of the reflection on the place of architecture and its collective experience in Portugal. As an architect, he was interested in the interior space of the house, in its forms and perception of it as a city, and also in a vast notion of the term territory – at the end of the day, the conceptual sequence of the modern view of the world. With projects, works, writings and political activism, he placed the reflection on the discipline in a level of ambition unlikely in the P ortuguese context. This text proposes a digression about his writings and is based on one of the themes to which he dedicated part of his life: collective housing.
