The process of economic transformation in Poland has been visibly dependent on externai financing. During the 1990’s Poland regained an access to International financial markets and has been using externai funds for the strengthening macroeconomic stabilisation and for the structural change. In the coming years an accession to EMU and the adoption ofthe Euro remain criticai opportunities as well as challenges for Poland’s economy. Therefore an appropriate strategy of the Euro adoption, including the speed and sequencing ofthe process, has to be worked out.pt_PT
