Abstract
This work examines the tension between AI-driven digital security practices and the protection of fundamental rights, with the objective of assessing their compatibility under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). It adopts a combined theoretical framework integrating digital ethics with a human-rights-based approach grounded in Strasbourg jurisprudence, with particular emphasis on Articles 8 (privacy and data protection), 6 (fair trial), and 14 (non-discrimination).
